Each employee at the College is an integral part of the Moraine Park mission, and we work diligently to hire candidates with aligned values to help move the mission of Moraine Park forward.Position Summary:Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Paramedic Instructor on the Fond du Lac Campus for a year-round, 178-day contract. This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet workforce needs. In addition, will provide regular student support and contact, or refer to the appropriate department, to meet the learner’s classroom and career goals. This position may teach on all campus locations (Fond du Lac, Beaver Dam, Horicon, West Bend) and could include our K-12 and Fire Department partners. You may also be required to teach evenings and weekends.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, or willing to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program.Progress toward a Bachelor’s Degree will be measured through the successful completion of a minimum of six credits of coursework annually, beginning with the second year of employment. Applicants must have two years of paid work experience, within the past five years, related to the program(s) being taught. This position is funded by the Leadership: Emergency Medical Services grant through June 30, 2026 and funded through the College thereafter.Join us at Moraine Park Technical College, where we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of our students!Responsibilities:Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Submit grades within the expected timeframe.Complete required documentation and record keeping for Accrediting and Governing Agencies.Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.Assist with student recruitment and proactively promote the College programs and services offered.Promote retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources.Engage in internal and external College meetings and activities.Build and maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies.
