Our client in Secaucus, NJ is looking to hire a Trade Compliance Analyst.Job Summary: The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for supply chain data analysis, with a focus on tariffs and freight costs. This role plays a critical part in providing insightful analysis for our multinational import business. Additionally, the individual will assist with internal controls and drive improvements in key processes.Scope of Responsibilities:Maintain records for import and export day-to-day entry filings and activities.Support classification in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Schedule B, and Harmonized System Code to ensure compliant imports and exports, duty savings, and overall program benefits.Evaluate documentation associated with imports and exports prior to shipment for accuracy and duty drawback opportunities.Support post-entry corrections as necessary and maintain all related records.Create reporting metrics for internal audits, clearance accuracy, duty, tax, and other visibility needs.Assist in implementing corrective actions resulting from internal audits and compliance issues.Monitor all import and export transactions to ensure conformance with the laws and regulations of the involved countries.Handle basic issues and problems under supervision, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate staff or team.Knowledge and Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Minimum of 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, ocean/air logistics, international transportation, or E-commerce preferred.Experience with import trade activities and customs compliance is preferred.Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking for problem-solving.Detail-oriented and organized.Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills and responsibilitiesPay Details: $75,000.00 to $120,000.00 per yearSearch managed by: Heather Stott-Mason Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records subject to federal contractor requirements and/or security clearance requirements.
