This position will also provide technical leadership on major tasks or technology assignments as well as establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to provide documented test result from system testing and commissioning.Day-To-Day Responsibilities:Perform installation tasks as noted in job summary based on project scope and directivesRead and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprintsUse hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other installation system related tasksTest point-to-point functionality of systemsReview project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installationTest integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for AMX/Crestron and DSP systemsField installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron) - upload and download capabilityWrite code for DSP systemsMake minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmerFine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performanceConfigure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a networkPerform client training and final job documentation as neededAct as a customer liaison in absence of Project ManagerCreate, track, and complete a project PunchlistAbility to travel to various job sites requiredWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORMust-Haves:Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients, and colleagues in a professional and timely mannerProven business writing skillsProficient with test and calibration equipmentSupport user acceptance testingMinor programming capability (AMX/Crestron) - changes and troubleshootingAbility to diagnose complex system problemsKnowledge of Advanced signal flow for audio, video, and controlUnderstand IP networkingAdvanced PC proficiencyEffective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleaguesExcellent multitasking capabilities while adapting to changing prioritiesAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesSolid organizational skills and excellent attention to detailValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standardsMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools, and materials.Nice-To-Haves:Formal education in Electronics or related field preferredMinimum 5 years of AV Installation experience preferredA four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experienceExperience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence, etc.) both hardware and softwareAVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred
