Empowered to build a team and set the direction for our analytics group, you will be responsible for compiling a deeper understanding of overall market opportunities in the dynamic industries we serve. These insights will be used to drive discussions among the executive leadership and establish strategies for future growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:â— Work with related stakeholders to identify and establish analytics direction and lead the buildout and operation of Mutiquip’s Analytics teamâ— Oversee team members in conducting analyses within focused categories to monitor, analyze and report on competitive positioning and marketplace trendsâ— Guides strategic business decisions by analyzing selling channels and price positioning and their impact on Multiquip’s overall profit structureâ— Consults with key stakeholders to help define business questions and identify the most appropriate data and analyses to address these questionsâ— Defines and develops reports and analyses to meet customer needs; provides project direction and oversight to ensure alignment with key Multiquip department objectivesâ— Drives department use of business tools like SQL, Tableau, etc. to extract and transform raw data into usable analytics tools and interactive, visual dashboards. When appropriate, work with IT to create and refine available data structuresâ— Utilizes known industry databases (RER, AEM, Dodge Construction Central, Dunn and Bradstreet) and identifies new sources to analyze construction trends for customer fleet planning and end user lead generationâ— Understands competitive position in the marketplace including customer/competitor trends, pricing, promotions, product launches, selling channel trends, etc. and makes data driven recommendations to relevant parties on how to enhance or maintain that position.â— Contributes to development of standard operating procedures for competitive price and data collection, manages database and drives regular analyses on our position within individual product categories. Presents data to relevant stakeholdersâ— Conducts regular meetings with key decision makers to assess regional and overall market opportunities and discuss related information about marketplace positioningâ— Participates in field research to answer questions about demand, supply, construction market characteristics, industry information, or specific market intelligence via survey, voice of the customer panels, and other data collection methods. Works with marketing / product management teams to disseminate and analyze findingsâ— Collaborates on implementation of monthly promotional strategies while measuring and reporting on campaign KPIsWork Experience Requirements: 5+ years of related experience in sales analytics, business analytics, or related field. Experience in building and developing analytical strategies and leading teams preferred.Computer Skills:Proficient in use of MS Office SuiteProficient using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc. 5+ years of experience working with databases and data modeling5+ years of experience in lead generation / industry databases (construction industry not required)Experience and familiarity with statistical methods and data tools (R, Python, SQL) that can be used to conduct statistical analysesExperience in building and managing a teamStrong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.Strong Analytical skills - able to quickly identify trends, opportunities, and business solutionsExperience working in SAP a plusPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
