Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic accounting Team for our Syosset, LI Office. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.Assist corporate accounting with the reporting and control of the monthly close process, quarterly and yearly forecasting and planning Analyses financial results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to managementDeveloping and managing the information systems for monitoring project progress and controlling the reporting systemsFollow procedure established by the organization to evaluate project results regarding schedule, costs, client relationships, quality, activities and other performanceInteracts with the project managers, business unit heads for managing objectives, goals and performance as well as working with the estimating departmentMinimum of BS or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management or EngineeringExperience in the performance of the key responsibilities listed2-7 years experienceExperience/knowledge of the engineering/architecture/construction industry preferred Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of project controls principles relating to budgeting, scheduling, tracking of actual/committed costs, change control and forecasting, and financial principlesAdvanced experience developing pivot tables and macros in Microsoft Excel preferredProficient use of MS Office, including Word, Power-Pointand OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillMust be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others as required for the jobExceptional organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases.Our Culture:We believe in the power of collaboration. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position.
