Express Employment Professionals is recruiting Customer Service for a medical device company located in Laguna Hills. This is a full-time, evaluation-to-hire position ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Follow established guidelines for Day-To-Day shipping and receiving and routine tasks. Process all incoming and outgoing shipments through the company's shipping and receiving database. Ensures customer inquiries are handled in a professional and expeditious manner. Maintains effective communication with other individuals and departments as necessary. Accurately enters all order requests received via telephone, FAX, mail, and email. Verifies all entries for accuracy. Interface with distributors to handle movement of inventory in a professional manner. Process Instruments trays returned back from the field through washing and sterilizing cycles. Perform quality and functional checks for inventory before shipping and after receiving. Verify that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents and order requests. Pack, seal, and label to prepare materials for shipping. Prepare all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner. Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments. Record damaged items and shortages and correspond with shipper. Determine shipping method for inventory, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability and discrepancies, for record keeping purposes. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies as needed. Contact carrier representative to make arrangements, and issue instructions, for shipping and delivery of materials in a timely manner. Stock shelves and track shipments. Perform physical/cycle counts of inventory with distributors on the field. Lift items with hand truck; must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more. Prepare International Shipment and Proforma invoices. Prepare inventory availabilities and transactions excel reports and spreadsheets. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a medical device company, preferably specialized in spinal devices manufacturing. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with DHL, FedEx, USPS or any major shipping carrier. Can work independently and to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Willing to work on weekdays and, if needed, on weekends in support of operational needs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. containers safely and efficiently. Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with computer systems to include Microsoft Office products, i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel (is a must). Comfortable learning and using Inventory systems. Experience in inventory systems is a PLUS. Must be a detail oriented and a fast learner. Attention to Detail: Accuracy counts. Need to make sure not to miss any details when counting orders and taking stock. Math Skills: Usage of basic math to add inventory. Willing to submit to a background check.
