MCS is hiring for a Cabling Subject Matter Expert (S.M.E.) for a cabling project with the FBI . This will support the FBI HQ in DC, Quantico, VA, Huntsville, AL, and Pocatello, ID, including resident offices OCONUS and limited OCONUS. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. As demonstrated by their required resume, the SME shall have domain and expert technical knowledge of structured network cabling design and installation practices applying related industry standards.Typical duties include:a) Shall meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Shall ensure strict conformance to/with program task schedules and prices.(b) As demonstrated by their required resume, the SME shall have domain and expert technical knowledge of structured network cabling design and installation practicesapplying related industry standards.(c) Shall possess experience with interacting and involvement with client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision-making and domain knowledge may havea critical impact on overall project implementation.(d) Shall lead the effort to secure and protect all government information and ensure the IDP meets all the RFQ requirements.(e) Shall be located at the contractor facility with key personnel on a full-time basis unless directed to attend meetings at FBIHQ or travel for project management purposes by the COR. Active Top-Secret Clearance is required on the day of quote submission and transferable to the FBI.(f) Shall participate in all phases of installation design plan with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.(g) Shall have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience and a Building Industry Consulting Services International(BICSI) certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), focusing on structured network cabling designs.(h) Shall have a minimum of five (5) years of documented CAD experience and be CAD certified. Experience in Microsoft Office products. Proficient in tracking and reporting project costs and schedules.Required:-Active Top-Secret Clearance is required on the day of quote submission and transferable to the FBI.-Shall have a minimum of five (5) years of documented CAD experience and be CAD certified. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.ntSitting at desk. Phone use and PC/laptop. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. The ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly is crucial. Employees may be subject to periodic motor vehicle record checks, and any discrepancies may impact eligibility for the position.
