Working in conjunction with Director and other Riding Instructors to facilitate a high-quality lesson program.Pay for this position: $17.50The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of postingTo teach assigned lessons and substitute when required while ensuring the safety of participants, volunteers and equinesTo evaluate participants for appropriateness of unmounted/mounted lessons. Evaluations should take into consideration current standards. To teach high-quality, goal-oriented, progressive, and safe ridden lessonsTo provide high quality, safe and educational horsemanship experiencesProvide a creative learning environment for all To work in collaboration with other instructors to provide a safe, creative and relevant programTo obtain PATH Intl Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor Certification and continue to improve upon skillsTo create and maintain treatment plans, progress notes and other necessary documentation for participantsEffectively communicate with riders/parents/caregivers/family members to promote holistic careTo participate with training programs for horses Evaluate safety of tack and equipment on a routine basisTo participate in daily horse routines including care and treatmentAssist Stables Facility Coordinator with horse care including, though not limited to, farrier, veterinary and other appointments.Participate in scheduled meeting and special eventsFollow industry standards Minimum of a high school diplomaPATH Intl CTRI certification or ability to complete certification within first year of hiringQUALIFICATIONS:Comprehensive knowledge of horses, horsemanship and care of horses3+ years’ experience teaching horseback riding lessons with the ability to teach group lessonsAbility to positively interact with participants, volunteers, staff, and community at largeAbility to lift over 50 pounds is requiredOur Commitment to Equity and JusticeWe believe that people are entitled to dignity, respect, equity and justice.
