+ Machinist Level 1 As a Machinist Level 1 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our machining processes, ensuring efficient and high-quality production. You will operate and maintain various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision parts according to specifications. Your attention to detail and technical skills will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations. You will report directly to our Machining Supervisor and work out of our Muncie, Indiana location. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our machining processes, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate and maintain machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision parts. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations. • Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning. • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity. • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. WE VALUE • Technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field. • Experience with CNC machining. • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
