The scheduler must provide excellent customer service with good verbal and written communication skills. The scheduler must also have excellent computer skills, with the ability to multi-task between various hospital system applications. The scheduler must also be very detail oriented. The scheduler is also expected to maintain a high level of accuracy in addition to meeting department productivity requirements.Responsibilities & RequirementsResponsibilities:The scheduler is responsible for the coordination of patient care between the physician office, the patient and various hospital departments.The scheduler must provide excellent customer service with good verbal and written communication skills.The scheduler must also have excellent computer skills, with the ability to multi-task between various hospital system applications.The scheduler must also be very detail oriented.The scheduler is also expected to maintain a high level of accuracy in addition to meeting department productivity requirements.The scheduler must also have the ability to review charts for accuracy in schedule advanced appointment types.Requirements:High School Completion equivalentHigh School Expected date letter in lieu of DiplomaHigh School GraduateBasic Medical TerminologyAbility to work in a fast pace medical office environmentExcellent communication skillsAbility to Multi-task across multiple hospital platforms and applicationsAbility to follow directions, accept orders and perform repetitive taskPreferred Qualifications:A.D. in Business or health related field preferred.Infusion scheduling for Oncology or Oncology coding and billing experience preferred.Office assitant or clerical experience preferred.At least 1 year of Epic/EMR experience preferred.
