The Job: Do you enjoy hands-on tasks such as painting, repairing, and general maintenance? Are you familiar with HVAC troubleshooting and wiring diagrams? If so, come join our fun, motivating team! You will be a key team player in the Facilities Department handling routine building maintenance tasks in areas such as plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.The Perks:Medical, dental, vision insurancePaid holidays and paid time off403(b) retirementFree membership at our award-winning fitness centerUnlimited access to our new R&R room - with a focus on Recovery Reimbursement for continuing education certification and conference feesEmployee discount programOFJCC swagFun, motivating workplaceFree Coffee!!Benefits exceptions apply, based on # hours worked per weekThe Core Duties:Perform a variety of preventative maintenance, building and property repair and improvement projectsPerform a variety of facilities requests, including picture hanging, furniture assembly, etc. Under general supervision, perform journey level work in the painting, finishing, and maintaining of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structuresFollow established practices regarding handling and disposal of hazardous materialsOperate and maintain all utilities systems, generators, and equipment in the facilityComplete operating logs, reports, and records required by federal, state, and local agencies as well as those requested by the OFJCCThe Essentials:High school diploma or GED equivalent1 year of trade school or 2 years of related experience in a similar institution Ability to deal with frequent interruptionsAbility to identify safety hazards and act accordinglyAbility to complete task to the highest standards possibleAbility and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees Ability to communicate in English effectively (written and oral)Ability to multi-task and establish prioritiesStrong organizational skillsExhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadershipAbility to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectivesPositive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environmentHVAC experience preferredEPA CertifiedFamiliarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and troubleshootingVisit
