To learn more about Spring EQ, visitwww.springeq.com.At Spring EQ, we;Strive to make every customer interaction a great oneRecognize behind every loan is a person or family trusting us to handle what may be a once in alifetime transactionWork hard and have funto get the job doneRecognize each team member's unique valueEncourage ways for our team members to learn, develop, diversify and grow with Spring EQPromote our team members so they can share their knowledge with others Innovate, innovate, innovateCreateand embrace the latest technology Simplify constantly, challenging every process we use to better accomplish our goalsBuild upon a strong company culture and foster an environment of togetherness, support, and accountabilityWe are searching for a Corporate Counsel who will be responsible for providing broad legal support to a home equity/mortgage lender.The ideal candidate has 5 or more years of legal experience in residential lending, banking or a related industry, is proactive and eager to learn, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.The Corporate Counsel will report to the General Counsel and have responsibility for contract management and negotiation; records management; data privacy; monitoring and analyzing new regulatory requirements; responding to due diligence requests from counterparties, auditors, and other third parties; and providing other legal support as requested.Draft and negotiate the terms and conditions of company contracts and leasesIdentify, interpret and apply regulatory requirements for mortgage lending and servicing operationsRender advice to business leaders on federal and state laws and regulations governing consumer protection, licensing, privacy, cybersecurity, residential real estate, and general corporate mattersRepresent Spring EQ in external auditsDraft and enhance policies, procedures and training in support of legal, compliance and risk programsMaintain expertise on statutes, regulations, regulatory bulletins, court rulings, and enforcement activity relating to consumer protection, mortgage and real estate, and apply expertise to strategic initiatives and business operationsSupport transactions governing the purchase, sale and securitization of mortgage loansRespond to due diligence requests from internal and external stakeholdersAssist the Legal and Compliance functions on other assigned projectsBachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor and license to practice law in at least one stateMinimum 5 years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or financial institution’s legal departmentExperience in lending, banking or financial services industry is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detailAbility to work onsite in Conshohocken, PA office on a regular basisMust possess a high level of professional ethics and integrityExcellent negotiation skills with a proven track record in contract negotiation and draftingKnowledge of current legal trends and developments affecting the industryMust have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Benefits401k Company MatchCommuter BenefitsCredit Union MembershipCompany HolidaysDental InsuranceDependent Care PlanDisability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramLife InsuranceMedical InsurancePaid Time Off PlanVision InsuranceSpring EQ is an equal opportunity employer.
