Risk Adjustment Auditor LHH is seeking a Risk Adjustment Auditor to perform Retrospective/Prospective chart reviews, both on-site and off-site, to ensure accurate risk adjustment reporting. The role involves identifying trends in provider coding and documentation and collaborating with Provider Education Consultants to develop intervention strategies.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Retrospective and Prospective chart reviews to ensure accurate risk adjustment reporting.Verify the accuracy, completeness, specificity, and appropriateness of provider-reported diagnosis codes based on medical record documentation.Identify and communicate trends in provider coding and documentation.Partner with Provider Education Consultants to develop and implement intervention strategies.Support process and quality improvement initiatives.Stay informed about regulatory mandates and ensure compliance.Mentor junior staff and assist with special projects.Act as a subject matter expert on risk adjustment processes and coding.Minimum Requirements:Proven ability to perform accurate and complete chart reviews for risk adjustment.Strong knowledge of ICD-9-CM/ICD-10 Coding Guidelines.Analytical skills to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement actions.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of health systems operations and reimbursement methodologies.Advanced understanding of risk adjustment, coding, and documentation requirements.Required Certifications:CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder)CPC (Certified Professional Coder)Details:Duration: Approximately 5-month contract position (late August 2024 through January 2025).Location: Remote (Must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah)Work Hours: 8-hour shifts during core hours (6:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time). Must be willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours, including potential overtime and weekends.Equipment: Equipment provided.Pay Rate: $27-$30/hr depending on experience.
