Our client is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper with 5 years of experience in a construction or manufacturing environment. You will work closely with the controller, accounting team, and liaise with sub-contractors and various departments.You will support the daily accounting operations including project billing, invoicing, account reconciliations, journal entries, a/p and additionaljob cost functions.Position: BookkeeperResponsibilities: Maintain precise records of all accounts receivable and payable transactions. Daily Invoicing. Monitor account balances, promptly address overdue payments, and handle customer inquiries with efficiency. Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile any discrepancies in financial records. Initiate collection efforts for delinquent accounts while maintaining professionalism in customer interactions. Oversee general office operations, including inventory management of office supplies and equipment. Perform daily cash account reconciliations and monitor weekly cash balances. Post monthly journal entries and assist with general ledger accounting, audit preparation, and reconciliations.Preferred Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Proficient in verbal and written communication, comfortable with making collection calls. Familiarity with accounting principles and practices. Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
