The Board Certified Behavior Analyst impacts students' lives by:Developing materials/resources and providing professional learning to administrators, educators, and instructional assistants in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and /or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with challenging behaviorPlanning and overseeing the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) for individual students and collaborating in the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)Creating and assisting school staff with the development of behavior plans, ABA programs, and other appropriate programs for students who present skill deficits and problem behaviorsAssisting in the management of behavior that is deemed unsafeWorking directly with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff that work with such studentsDesigning and implementing data collection systems and assisting in the interpretation of that dataProviding training, professional development, and coaching on effective behavior interventions and strategiesWorking with classroom teachers and instructional assistants to model effective behavioral and instructional programmingCollecting data and preparing a variety of reports to document case history, assessments, and treatmentParticipating in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings about student achievementIntegrating weekly feedback and goal-setting into daily practiceParticipating in the life of the school, including student activities and eventsTaking on other tasks as neededThe Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will report to the Director of Special Education.What We Offer:
