The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Vice President, Application Development Manager II in New York, NY, to be responsible for all phases of the systems development and implementation process. Provide analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technology, and tools. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bacheloru2019s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Eight (8) years of experience must include: Analyzing and decoding the IBM Mainframe applications using Mainframe Programming & Development Technologies including COBOL, CICS, JCL and Mainframe tools, SPUFI, File Aid, JCL Utilities, Xpeditor, MQM, CA7, Insync DB2, version control tool Endevor, to convert the business functionalities of Mainframe applications to distributed applications; Designing and developing efficient user interfaces and web portals to display and report large volume of custody data, using Reporting tool like Jasper & Tableau and Front End Technologies including JavaScript and Angular version 8/9, CSS2/CSS3, and HTML; Designing and developing highly performing, efficient, fully testable JAVA REST API and JAVA Application modules using Spring, Spring Boot framework, Spring Cloud, J2EE Design Patterns, and Maven architecture with full enterprise security principles to capture, enrich, and process huge volume of cash & custody data; Communicating the processed and enriched trade transactions details between internal application systems and external clients using IBM MQ Series and Kafka; Using IBM DB2, Exadata/Oracle, Vertica, and MongoDB with expertise in relational and No-SQL databases to store and process huge volume of Data in structured and unstructured databases; Performing test-driven development (Junit, JMeter), Continuous Integration (Jenkins), Build tool (Maven) and Version Control (Git), Development tools (Eclipse, IntelliJ), Caching frameworks Redis/Hazelcast, and Deploying to cloud using Docker & Assembly files; and Utilizing SWIFT interface and SWIFT messages to handle all the communications between financial institutions along with expertise knowledge in regulatory reporting including SR14, CSDR and 5th AMLD and Clearing & settling the cash & custody transactions. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $147,285.00 to $203,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment.
