Graduate from an accredited School of NursingBachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited colleges or universities - HIGHLY PREFERREDOne (1) to three (3) years Emergency Room experienceIn Charge experience preferredCurrent New York State Licensed Registered Professional NurseCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training and or Certification completed within 90 days of hire and every two years thereafterExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComputer knowledge and skillsMultidisciplinary team and puter application skills - ALLSCRIPTS, Microsoft ExcelExcellent written and communication skillsThe Assistant Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the operational management of the assigned Nursing Unit in collaboration with physician leadership, participates in the strategic planning for the department. Has accountability for nursing services on the applicable shift. Provides professional nursing care to all people of all ages and their families. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. Formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel. Displays professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center's standard of care, and the institution's mission and goals.
