The Maintenance Mechanic IIAssists Maintenance Mechanic I in all activities and duties.Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. The Maintenance Mechanic II should be able to perform non-specific mechanical repairs andor troubleshooting. Coordinate and complete preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, dock levelers, and other mechanical systems.Position Duties ResponsibilitiesAssists Maintenance Mechanic I in all activities and duties.Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.Basic ability to dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Basic ability to inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Basic ability to adjust functional parts or devices and control instruments.Basic ability to repair or replace defective parts.Basic ability to install special functional and structural parts in devicesLubricates and cleans parts.Performs preventative maintenance tasking as assigned.Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.Maintain, organize, and control inventory supplies tools and equipment.Clean and organize shop area. Maintain inventory of spare parts and material. Maintain tools and equipment for maintenance work.Minimum RequirementsThese are the minimum entry-level requirements to perform the duties of the positionGED or HS EquivalentFour (4) or more years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid Driver LicenseAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
