We are seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team in the field of Power Systems, Battery Systems, and Battery Energy Storage Technology located in Fort Washington, PA. Key Responsibilities: -The individual will conceptualize, design and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team -You will be a key technical focal point across Honeywell Industrial Automation engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers -By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will influence hardware design directions and methodology developments. -You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of industrial automation, sensing and control products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. -You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the development of products to customer specifications -As a hardware engineering technical expert, working under limited supervision, you will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and mentor to more junior engineers -The successful candidate will work in a global environment and must be able to think globally, allowing for cultural, geographical and even time zone differences to ensure project goals and objectives meet business expectations. #Li-Hybrid YOU MUST HAVE: • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering, science, or technology. • A minimum of 10 years of experience as technical contributor in a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing and solving complex technical problems and providing solutions that can be implemented in a timely manner. • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with detailed engineering and assembly drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM). • A minimum of 2 years of experience performing laboratory testing to verify and confirm design outputs meet the design inputs. • Excellent communication and technical writing skills, capable of adapting style and tone according to the situation and audience. Effectively communicates message to all levels, including to senior leadership. • Ability to travel to manufacturing site(s) or suppliers as needed. Likely a 3-5 day trip every few months. WE VALUE: • Experience in Lithium-Ion Battery Design and Production • Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics and related modeling • Experience in Energy & Thermal Management Systems • Experience in Power Grid Systems and Inverter/Power Conversion Systems • Experience in Liquid Cooling of Batteries • Previous involvement in defining and developing processes related to design, analysis, test, manufacture, quality and productivity. Familiarity with requirements of and considerations for product certification processes indicative of third party or regulatory agency certifications. • Experience in performing classical engineering/technical analysis on designs, such as engineering stress analysis, fatigue and vibration analysis, using both conventional engineering techniques and computer simulation.
