If you want an exciting job with one of the largest off-price retailers in the nation, join the Burlington Stores, Inc. team as a Area Maintenance Manager!Shift: Second Shift 4:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Monday-ThursdayResponsibilities:Oversees the repair and maintenance of equipment; assigns work orders, ensuring safety and production related work orders are highest priority. Assists maintenance associates with diagnosis and repairs when necessary. Manages preventive maintenance programs and ensures schedule is adhered to in order to minimize downtime. Establishes methods and procedures for departmental work activities; identifies and resolves operational problems; and communicates expertise and approval concerning departmental activities. Supervise, interviews, orients, trains, evaluates, and develops associates in the Maintenance department shift that they are assigned to. When necessary carries out disciplinary actions or recommends termination of employment. Oversees and ensures building, grounds and equipment are cleaned and maintained in order to maintain machinery and physical plan. Supervises and oversees facility's waste disposal program; ensures waste is disposed of according to appropriate regulations. Interacts with DC management to ensure maintenance needs are met. Touring facilities to ensure the condition of the facilities are maintains. High school diploma or equivalent required. Five years of maintenance and supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures including best safety practices. Analytical ability necessary to gather and interpret data, and develop, recommend and implement solutions. Strong management leadership, communication, organization and administrative skills. Strong knowledge of and skill in personal computers and engineering-related programs. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule; including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays as required. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
