Mechanical Design Engineer

The Engineer will apply and integrate a range of engineering principles and practices to research and develop production machinery and automate and improve manufacturing processes. Analyze manufacturing problems and implement solutions.Research, purchase and implement outsourced manufacturing machinery.Implement manufacturing tooling and processes for new products.Assist in research, development and testing of new products.Troubleshooting problems in the factory and determining solutions.Interface with QC department in investigating and correcting quality issues.BS or BE in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Relevant work experience in lieu of degree maybe considered. 3+ years of experience designing and implementing production machinery solutions and working in a factory environment.Pro-Engineer/Creo or similar 3d design software. Knowledge of Solidworks a plus.Knowledge of injection molding operation and mold design a significant plusElectro-mechanical automation background.Knowledge of general automation techniques, components and principles.Knowledge of standard machining and assembly practices a plus.The base salary range for this role would be commensurate with experience: $100,000-$125,000 per year#LI-Onsite
