The Community Investment Coordinator works in collaboration with the Chief Impact & Strategy Officer to strategize and administer all outgoing funding to the community, including allocations, scholarships, and grants. The CI Coordinator also oversees committee management for various committees and panels. The position also leads the process of Overnight Jewish Camp Scholarships & Grants as well as the Israel Experience Grant program. Minimum Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Seeking individual with a diverse range of experience who enjoys managing complex situations and has the initiative, skills, and sensitivity needed to manage organizational change and create systems that increase organizational efficiency while supporting our culture and values. These must be objective and relevant to the performance of the job (e.g. 3 years of experience, bachelors degree in accounting, ability to travel 50% of the time). A candidate must meet every minimum qualification to be considered qualified for the job. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: List the preferred relevant work experiences (e.g. years of experience, type of experience, industry preference, education) that someone coming into the role should possess. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Describe the knowledge, professional/technical skills, and leadership capabilities that are most critical for success. RESPONSIBILITIES: STRATEGYAssist with the annual community funding process for JewishColumbus, which includes unrestricted (allocations) and restricted (grants) sources of support.Aid with the annual Capital Repair & Replacement process to ensure the appropriate investment of funds.Coordinate and Provide Supplementary and Kesher FundingPARTNERSHIPWork with a diverse group of lay leaders Develop strong relationships with partner agency staffWork with agencies to develop metrics that express the impact of community dollars.Develop and maintain consistent interactions and learning opportunities between the committee and the agencies. Develop user-friendly tools to guide the agencies through the new funding process.Distribute allocations and grants award letters each fiscal year. DIRECT COMMUNITY FUNDINGCreate & Oversee Jewish overnight camp scholarship and grant program awarding between $60,000 - $120,000 each fiscal year.Oversee the Israel Experience grant program awarding approximately $50,000 in grants each. COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITES:Lead Administrator for panels/committees:Shalom Grants PanelCapital Repair & Replacement Committee Jaffee Dental Scholarship Committee (annually)Zion Lodge GrantPalius GrantAssist with committee oversight:Community Impact CommitteeIsrael & Overseas Needs PanelJewish Arts Panel ADMINISTRATIVE:SchedulingAttend all meetings and provide summary notesFunding requests through the finance department for both Federation and Foundation sidesDraft, oversee, and track all allocation letters and grant letters throughout the year.
