The Staff Accountant will maintain the general ledger and ensure the integrity and accuracy of account reconciliations and financial statements prepared as part of the month-end close process. The Staff Accountant will also support the annual audit examination conducted by the company's independent auditors, and complete various ad hoc projects.RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare detailed monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and related journal entriesSupport Regional Controllers and analysts in completing month-end close procedures, including booking journal entriesUnderstand client rebate and bad debt expense calculations for booking journal entriesPrepare and track quarterly Internal financial reporting certificationsSupport ad hoc accounting projects through detailed analysisSupport new system Implementation and testing, accelerating the month-end close process, and SOX control Implementation.Annual audit examination assistance and verification of documentsQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study1-3 years of experience in a corporate accounting, public accounting, or similar role is requiredHighly organized, self-motivated, and detail orientedAbility to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlinesProficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize available office management technologyProfessional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretionOutstanding oral and written communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous General Ledger accounting or audit experienceProfessional accounting experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA)BENEFITS:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEnrollment in our company's 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirementsEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
