To ensure a high quality and consistent product, you must pay close attention to details. Monitor machinery performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime. To avoid cross-contamination between batches, equipment must be thoroughly cleaned. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, safety protocols and production standards are observed. The position requires an understanding of the manufacturing process, as well as a commitment to upholding the highest standards of product quality and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Packaging and Palletizing: Package and palletize finished products into boxes, drums, gaylords, and supersacks ranging from 15 lbs to 2000 lbs. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area. Equipment Cleaning: Clean grinders, extruders, testing equipment, and charging equipment. Material Handling: Load and blend dry materials. Machine Operation: Operate grinder and extruder production lines. Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift for material handling. Floor Scrubber Operation: Operate a floor scrubber for cleaning. Dust Collector Maintenance: Replace filters on grinders' dust collectors. Sampling: Take samples of raw materials and finished products. Data Recording: Record batch variables and log data accurately. Safety: Perform all tasks safely and injury-free. Actively participate in improving department and plant safety. Compliance: Follow ISO 14001 procedures and environmental requirements. Training and Participation: Attend and participate in plant programs, committees, and training sessions as required. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Ability to read and follow batch tickets and production instructions. Basic math skills for measuring and weighing materials. Strong attention to detail for quality control. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Understanding of safety protocols and procedures. Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. Operate and maintain production equipment. Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal performance. Follow safety and environmental regulations. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if needed.
