These duties will be performed under the supervision of a senior project engineer or project manager.Performs work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment. Assignments ususally include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawing and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation. Helps to coordinate work of mulitiple engineering disciplines, as well as drafting/CADD work for the project. Assists in preparing progress reports and may supervise small projects.Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer is preferred.Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills.Must be a self-motivated dynamic individual.North Carolina PE certification preferredBachelor's degree in civil engineering required, E.I.T. required.Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience.Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.Complete Annual Individual Training ProgramTrain adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absenceComply with all KCI policies and proceduresEnsure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirementsComplete other duties as required/assignedAchieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target(80-85% typical)Attend bi-weekly(or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasksComplete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scopeConsult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as requiredOperate within specified (corporate or project) budget parametersCompare field data to base planConduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as neededPrepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review and approvalPrepare preliminary concept designs and submit for approvalRead and interpret technical documents needed for performance of jobReview and approve shop drawings#LI-KH1KCI Technologies, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
