Title: Compliance EngineerLocation: RBW Factory, 575 Boices Lane, Kingston, NY 12401On-site expectations: On-site, full-timeLink to applyWhat Success Looks LikeAs the Compliance Engineer, you will be accountable for compliance with applicable regulations, corporate policies, and procedures. This includes assisting in the development of documentation, plans, and periodic assessments through collaboration with other teams and stakeholders in the manufacturing process. You are responsible for leading all certification activities - sending and returning fixtures for testing, organizing all reports, and maintaining the technical file pertaining to our products.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that lighting products meet UL standards 1598 and 2108 for luminaires and low-voltage lighting systems.Manage process, timeline, and workload for compliance and performance-related responsibilities.Prepare detailed documentation and reports related to compliance, including test plans and results, certification applications, and compliance audits.Maintain accurate records of certifications and ensure they are up to date.Provide technical guidance and support to design and engineering teams to ensure compliance from the initial stages of product development.Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams by developing and implementing test protocols directly on the shop floor.Liaise with testing labs and regulatory bodies like UL to manage and facilitate compliance testing and certification processes.Conducting and overseeing various product tests including but not limited to thermal, ground-bonding and electrical safety testsOversee and manage the annual compliance budget.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseDegree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Discipline or similar.4+ years in product certification involving lighting.Knowledge of the North America UL standards, specifically UL 1598 and UL 2108Knowledge of lighting standards in the US, UL8750, JA-8, Title 24 and the certification process is a plus.Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.Detailed-oriented and able to support multiple projects at the same time.Excellent interpersonal skills.https://rbw.com/careersBenefitsHealthLow-cost Healthcare options, Dental & Vision Insurance plans, Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Paid Wellness Time, Factory Fitness SpaceWealthRetirement Savings Plan (401k), Profit Sharing, Continued education reimbursement, Monthly EV car charging credits at Factory location, Exciting Product DiscountsWellbeingGenerous Time-Off Policy, Paid Parental Leave & Bonding Leave, 11 Paid Holidays including Floating Holiday, Your Birthday Off, Pet-friendly office, Fully-stocked snacks and beverages, Open & collaborative workspaceAbout RBWAt RBW, we believe in the power of light to create atmosphere.Our purpose is to realize the unlimited potential of lighting.
