The Electronic Technician will support Morgantown operations by maintaining the integrity of furnace controls, power supplies, spare circuit boards, electrical systems, and parts.Duties &ResponsibilitiesInterpret equipment symptoms during the troubleshooting process and resolve problems in a timely and professional mannerUse effective troubleshooting techniques to determine the cause of electrical and control system problemsEfficiently test and repair electronic/electrical equipment, circuits, and componentsPerform calibrations and adjustment in accordance with approved standard proceduresFunctional testing of repaired boards and partsAbility to use and maintain standard electronic test equipment that includes digital multi-meters, VOMs, oscilloscopes, capacitance and inductance meters, meggers, amprobes, vacuum metering, semiconductor testers, etc.Maintenance of electrical/electronic schematics (documenting changes, etc.)Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments and changing priorities.Education & EducationHigh School Diploma/GED is required; 2-year degree in Electronics desired2 years' experience applicable electronic troubleshooting and repair experienceGood understanding of solid-state circuitry requiredAbility to read electrical schematics requiredStrong soldering skillsMechanical aptitudeAbility to correctly use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.Must be willing to work overtime to ensure projects are implemented on a timely basis.Must be able to work weekends and holidays.Must be able to wear a respirator /generated inline style / All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /generated inline style / This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
