Location :Council Bluffs IA OPDCity :Council BluffsState :Indiana (US-IN)Country :United States (US)Requisition Number :36129Job Title:Laboratory TechnicianLocation :Council Bluffs IA OPDCity :Council BluffsState :Indiana (US-IN)Country :United States (US)Requisition Number :36129[Not translated in selected language]Core Functions: Actively participate in our Employee Safety Involvement plan Maintain a safe work environment for one's self and all employees Perform all applicable analytical tests on raw ingredients, in-process, and finished products Perform data entry of analysis into various QA databases Assist in identifying and managing HOLD products Identify quality and procedure deviations; effectively report such deviations and provide accurate information in a timely manner and as needed Prepare testing solutions, equipment calibrations, general maintenance and upkeep of laboratory Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements. Perform duties as assignedSkill/Experience Requirements: High School diploma or GED Required 1-2 years of experience in processing or manufacturing environment Work experience in a laboratory environment is preferred General knowledge of production processes, food lab instrumentation, and laboratory test methods preferred Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Sound decision and teamwork skills are essential. Detail oriented a must Computer skills, including experience with Word and Excel is preferred Effective oral and written communication skills Organizational skills are a must Ability to follow written procedures and established test methods Must be able to proficiently read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and safety and quality training processes.
