Maintenance Technician

Gaudenzia is a leader in the addiction treatment and recovery services since 1968. Gaudenzia operates roughly 117 programs throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Distric of Columbia. We are seeking an individual that is capable of achieving and maintaining outstanding interior and exterior buildings as assigned. Position will have room for growth and movement throughout the company.This individual will be responsible for performing all maintenance repairs (at a Journeyman's or Master level Mechanical Aptitude and Competence in Maintenance and Construction) independently and assisting contractors in performing major repairs and maintenance work. Position requires motivated individual requiring minimal supervision. Candidate must possess basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills. Position requires a can-do attitude with ability to prioritize tasks. This individual will report to the Director of Maintenance and the Director of the facility, division or region in which they are assigned.Work is performed with moderate independence in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures in a coordinated effort with the Director of Maintenance. This individual is responsible for overall Program effectiveness and the achievement of objectives in compliance with licensing and credentialing standards.Duties and responsibilities include:1. Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds.2. Schedule and oversee routine inspections of buildings and grounds by outside inspectorswhen needed.3. Oversee, inspect and schedule repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electricaland mechanical systems, windows, doors, roofs, gutters, etc.4. Complete all maintenance assignments for the properties assigned, including minor carpentry, painting, and other projects.5. Maintain landscaping of the propertiesassigned, including grass cutting and weeds, trimming shrubs and trees, planting grass seeds and trees, etc. and/or oversee tis service with a contracted professional/landscaper.6. Keep exterior grounds free and clear of all debris, snow, leaves, etc.7. Inspect recreational areas and equipment for maintenance required.8. Eliminate safety hazards when possible; report all safetyissues to immediate supervisorand/or Director of Maintenance in a timely manner.9. Maintain all tools and equipment in a safe, secure work environment.10.Assist and monitor contractors in renovating/building projects and ability to make trips in order to obtain necessary equipment and supplies.Education: High School Diploma or GEDExperience: Maintenance Technician I-Three (3) years’ experience in a related area at a Journeyman Level Mechanical Aptitude and Competence in MaintenanceExperience: Maintenance Technician II-Five (5) years’ experience in a related area at a Master Level MechanicalAptitude and Competence in MaintenanceValid Driver’s LicenseSalary is commensurate with experience.We treat our employees well and offer tremendous growth opportunities.
