Offering an unmatched, 360-degree solution set for a collection of world-class owned venues and a client roster that includes the most influential, highest attended arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions on the planet.Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, a division of Oak View Group is looking to hire an Event Lead Chef.TheEvent Lead Chefis responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes & standards.Types of events that can be expected:Cocktail receptions, seated dinnerBreakfast & lunch buffets Private dining Weddings, galas and other large eventsThis role pays an hourly wage $30 to $35.Benefits for FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 12 holidays).This position will remain open until Nov 1, 2024Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environmentHave experience on multiple stations in the kitchenEnsuring that food portions and food presentation meets Events standardsMust have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cookingAssists the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assignedMaintains a working knowledge of food preparation for standard menu itemsMaintains a clean work environment, including floors and passagesCleans kitchen and equipment as assigned by the Culinary Management teamAssists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc. clean and organized.Assisting the unloading of deliveriesManage a team of 15+ or more kitchen assistancesWork closely with event captain to create a positive client experience Ensure sanitation standards meet city compliance Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors Assist with set-up and cleaning operational areas Professional work ethic2-3 years of related cook experiencePrepare and execute key components of dishes while ensuring quality and accuracyEffective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisorsFlexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when requiredExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issuesSupport their fellow cooks by being a team playerAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
