If so, we want YOU to join our team as a Principal Cloud Data Engineer!The Principal Cloud Data Engineer’s role encompasses diverse on-premise and cloud-based data engineering and integration responsibilities. This includes designing, migrating, developing, implementing, and operating cloud-based data solutions that align seamlessly with the company’s data strategy and vision. Key responsibilities also involve assessing the organization's data stacks to identify optimal options for resource migration to the cloud and executing the migration of data processing and workloads to a cloud data platform. In addition, the Principal Cloud Data Engineer serves as a subject matter expert in cloud technologies, actively shaping our data architecture, and plays a pivotal role ensuring the success of our data engineering initiatives.What We Offer:• $135,000-$155,000/year depending on experience•Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Ins/Company paid STD & LTD Ins• 401K, Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off• Work is performed remotely Provides database & integration design recommendations based on IT organization strategy and documented IT standards.Develops enterprise level database application and integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features.Provides expertise, guidance, and mentoring to other database developers/engineers across teams and across projects, as needed, in order promote development of internal skill, talent and experience on new technologies.Gains understanding of impacted business processes and considers the business process impact (including production support) when designing database and integration technology solutions.Viewed both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across teams.Acts as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent for various projects and teams.Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based data architectures using leading cloud platforms, preferrable Azure Cloud such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.Lead the development of data models, data flow diagrams, and data integration strategies to support business requirements.Drive the development and implementation of robust ETL processes, ensuring efficient and reliable data pipelines for diverse data sources.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that align with business goals.Demonstrate expertise in cloud technologies, particularly in Azure (ADF, ADLS, Synapse, VM, SQL Server, Eventhub, etc.)Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and application developers, to understand data requirements and provide technical guidance.Provide mentorship and technical leadership to data engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Optimize data processing and storage for performance and cost-effectiveness, leveraging cloud-native services and technologies.Works closely with IT Security to respond to and address security concerns.
