2nd shift Stone FinisherTitle: Finishing Operator Reports to: Fin/ NDT SupervisorLocation: MentorShift: 2ndRequirements:Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantityComfortable using a team approach to problem solvingHave strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independentlyWork Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environmentResponsibility: The finisher must be able to perform operations and operate all equipment efficiently in the belting, stoning, and gauging of metal castings, defined as turbine components or castings of comparable weight and size (from approximately 5 to 75 pounds). Ability to comprehend and adhere to established safety and quality procedures and protocols.Specific Duties:Belt and stone finishing and refinishing of visual indications.Perform all gauging necessary.Perform required operations on buffing wheel.Ensure dimensional integrity of all parts utilizing gauges, micrometers, calipers and dial sure visual acceptance of castings.Pass inspection/audits in accordance with customer specifications and company procedures.May perform other duties as specified by the supervisor.Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes.
