USD $85,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.Applications are sought from an individual whose research includes materials science, composite materials, microstructural analysis, structural and fatigue analysis, microscopist applied to the mechanical and aerospace engineering fields. Successful candidates will be expected to teach fundamental undergraduate and graduate courses in materials science, solid mechanics, and advanced materials processing, in addition to developing strong externally funded research programs. Applicants should articulate a clear and substantiated vision of how their background can lead to sustained accomplishments through teaching, research, and an ability to engage in interdisciplinary activities and projects within one of the areas identified above.General Purpose:Teach in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering program and provide materials-related research opportunities to graduate & undergraduate students.The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) Departmentof the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for atenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Mechanical Engineeringstarting in August 1st, 2024, academic year. A Ph.D. in Mechanical, Materials and/or Aerospace Engineering or related area is required. Applications are sought from an individual with a research focus in material science, composite materials, microstructural analysis, structural and fatigue analysis, microscopist applied to the mechanical and aerospace engineering field.We are looking for faculty who are able and excited to contribute to the continued evolution of our Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering program. Successful candidates will be expected to teach fundamental undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical and/or Materials Engineering and develop strong externally funded research programs.
