The Construction Equipment Operator will serve as anOperator Ifor the construction of stream and wetland restoration projects. This will include equipment operation, manual labor, equipment maintenance, and general upkeep around the project site. This position will be based out of ourLititz, PAoffice.Travel duration is typically Monday through Friday but can be days to months,around 75% across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and New York. Work is seasonally steady and often will require over 40 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required during peak periods. The ability to travel with overnight stays is required.Employees working on construction sites with overnight stays may be entitled to per diem rates to cover the cost of meals in lieu of direct reimbursement or charging meals to the RES P-Card.Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the RES's operating safety policies and procedures. Equipment to be operated includes but is not limited to the following:Hauling trailersExcavators (10,000 lbs - 60,000 lbs)Tracked dump trucksBulldozersSkid loadersTractorsAll-terrain utility vehiclesPreform basic equipment maintenanceAssure grade is within allotted tolerances by utilizing survey equipmentInstall and maintain E&S BMP’s to ensure site compliancePlease note that this is not an exhaustive list of your duties and responsibilities.Minimum:High school Diploma or GEDValid Driver's LicenseTwo years of experience operating an excavatorSome experience operating equipment, hauling trailers, chainsaws, handheld equipment, etc.Desired:Two years of field experience in ecological restoration, land development, stormwater management, utilities, forestry, or golf course constructionCDL LicensePhysical Requirements:Willing and able to perform and comply with the following items:Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds in rough terrainAbility to use all standard hand tools and mechanized landscaping equipmentAbility to operate standard construction equipmentStrict adherence to safety protocols, including proper PPE requirementsVEVRAA Federal ContractorRES is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
