1st shift Tooling TechnicianTitle: Tooling TechnicianStatus: HourlyReporting Relationship: Reports directly to Engineering SupervisorLocation: Mentor, OHEducation: High school diploma or GED; Journeyman toolmaker certification/ experience requiredPersonal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.Work Experience: Knowledge of Wax Injection Process.Hands on experience with Wax Dies, Inserts, Fixtures etc.Knowledge of Word/Excel with good report writing skills.Good verbal communications/interface with customers for audits.General knowledge of machining (mills, lathes, drills and grinders).Knowledge of mechanical inspection equipment including hand held gauges, height stands, micrometers, calipers, bridge gages (can develop FARO Arm Routines/programs and maintain them).Knowledge of metals and their propertiesBasic blueprint reading. Knowledge of shop math including decimals.Principal Area of Responsibility: Maintenance of dies and associated equipment in order to help sustain productivity within the departmentSpecific Duties:Write and maintain Master Pin/Depth Check, Die/Fixture Cleaning, Die disassembly, and misc. procedures.Coordinate Wax Die Rework with Manufacturing and tool shops.Engineering Resource for New Jobs & Scrap Reduction plete Tooling Inventories (both internal & external) for wax dies, reformers, & CMM fixturesInterface with Tool Shops for wax Die Reworks.Coordinate Wax Die release after rework and obtain required signatures.Quote reworks and itiative release forms, checklists, obtain photographs for tool repairs and/or rework.Other duties assigned by Supervision.Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.Physical and Mental Demands:Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below.The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines. /generated inline style / All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /generated inline style / This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
