Oncology SchedulerLocation: Seattle, WA (On-Site)Pay: $20-24/hrJob Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Oncology Scheduler to join our dynamic team in Seattle, WA. The Oncology Scheduler will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient patient scheduling. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and a thorough understanding of oncology-related procedures and appointments.Key Responsibilities:Patient Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments for consultations, treatments, and follow-up visits in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure alignment with physician availability and patient needs.Coordination: Coordinate with healthcare providers, medical staff, and patients to manage appointment schedules, cancellations, and rescheduling.Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Ensure all patient information is handled confidentially and in compliance with HIPAA munication: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, providing information about appointment details, and resolving scheduling surance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for oncology-related services and treatments.Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to patient scheduling, including preparation of patient charts and documentation.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical scheduling role, preferably within an oncology or similar healthcare setting.Skills:Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and scheduling software.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.Familiarity with oncology terminology and procedures is a plus.Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
