The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is a member of the Emergency Services team and works closely with the Emergency Department Physician to provide appropriate and timely treatment to all patients who present to this department for care. The ED RN has the ability to maintain order and flow during peak patient surges, respond to multiple demands with integrity and persistence, prioritize duties according to their critical nature and achieve desired outcomes for our patient population. The ED RN contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through participating in performance improvement techniques that provide positive outcomes. The ED RN will assist in other hospital nursing areas as low census permits.We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.Compensation Philosophy: We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate staff for 30 years of relevant experience.Compensation Range: $46.48- $ 66.27 / hourSign on Bonus: $5,000.00Full-time and night shiftEducationGraduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current California RN license required. Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS required. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE preferred. ExperienceMinimum of one year ED or critical care nursing experience within the last five years preferred. Willing to train exceptional candidateKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to utilize the nursing process in the provision of ED nursing care including but not limited to administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care, collaborating with other health care providers and providing education to patients and/or significant others. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will be required to successfully complete competencies for this position.Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendumAppropriately and efficiently triages all patients seeking medical care from our Emergency Department for their injury or illness or concern.
