The JCC of Central NJ seeks an energetic, innovative individual with a background in education to lead our After School program and develop programming for our youth and teen population. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys working with children, and inspired by developing young leaders. This is a 40 hour per week year-round, overtime exempt position supervised by the Associate Executive Director. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations and schedule of the After School programHire, supervise and manage staff; conduct regular staff meetingsSupervise Assistant Director of Youth and After School Programs and Children's Music and Theater ManagerOversee daily needs and care of children attending the programManage behaviors accordingly with staffPlan and execute creative and exciting daily programming and scheduleCommunicate daily with parents and schoolsCoordinate busing from schools; confirm routes and student numbers with bus companyCoordinate and communicate with local Hebrew schools regarding transportationOrganize staff/student absence communication and proper staff/student ratios on a daily basisWork alongside Aquatics and Enrichments departmental staff to ensure children attend their extracurricular activitiesManage annual registration and monthly student schedule changes; update member registration and manage member payments accordinglyCreate and manage After School specialty activitiesPlan and implement Vacation Day programs throughout the school yearOrder and manage necessary program suppliesOrder and manage snack for After School and Vacation Day programsDevelop and manage the After School budgetWork in conjunction with other departments to share and utilize spaceOversee After School space requirements via software programCreate and execute dynamic teen leadership and engagement programsPartner with community organizations for teen programs and eventsCreate and manage Teen department budgetSupport community engagement events for elementary and middle school age members in conjunction with Camp Yachad (JCC day camp) and After School programsDevelop and run innovative youth programs (example: kids night out)Fulfill summer leadership role in Camp YachadAttend JCC all-staff, Children's Services Department, and Camp Leadership staff meetingsCollaborate with Marketing department to promote program offerings Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors in Education or related degree preferredExperience working with childrenStrong communication skillsAbility to lead successfullyStrong organizational skills Physical Requirements:3-4 hours of sitting while working at a computer2-3 hours of moving throughout the dayLifting 10-15 pound boxes of material when needed Salary: $65000 Agency Information: The JCC of Central NJ's mission is to educate, enrich and empower our community - from generation to generation.
