The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients.Part-Time Custodians are part of the operations team and one of the primary caretaker of the facility, responsible for cleaning operations.This position will work on-site at The Aquatic Center in Mylan Park, West Virginia. The Aquatic Center includes a community pool, an Olympic-sized competition pool, outdoor splash pad, dynamic fitness room, outdoor track and so much more. It has become a local hub of sports tourism by hosting elite-level regional and national Aquatics and Track events.Core Responsibilities:Responsible for daily cleaning and organization of the facility including offices, meeting rooms, multi-purpose fitness and athletic spaces, and equipmentResponsible for upkeep, cleanliness, and disinfecting of bathrooms, locker rooms, and/or showersRestock toilet paper, paper towels, and soapResponsible for inventory and stocking all cleaning and maintenance suppliesDaily maintenance of all carpets, wooden floors, and synthetic surfacesResponsible for routine maintenance and upkeep of the building: patching, painting, minor repairs, etc.Responsible for assisting in the annual facility maintenance and deep cleaningAssists in examining facility for safety hazards; reports any needed service to supervisorPerforms minor preventative maintenance for facility, custodial, and fitness equipmentEducation and ExperienceA high school diploma or equivalentAt least one year of janitorial or custodial experience preferredKnowledge of custodial operations and safety practicesCurrent American Red Cross CPR/AED/FA certification (or willing to obtain)Skills and AbilitiesAbility to operate cleaning equipmentAbility to read (training material, work schedules), write (correspondence, accident reports), and accurately follow oral and written instructionsAbility to perform basic mathematicsThe ability to operate computers for scheduling, email and data entry/retrievalAbility to manage time effectively, and set prioritiesWork EnvironmentOffice environment/recreation environment/pool environmentExposed to dirt, odors, heights, cleaning chemicals, and variable temperaturesNon-smoking environmentModerate to loud noiseEvening, morning, or weekend work as needed Physical DemandsProlonged periods of standingMust be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
