For more information, go tomed.nyu.edu, and interact with us onLinkedIn,Glassdoor,Indeed,Facebook,TwitterandInstagram.Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Associate.The Program Associate works collaboratively with the Assistant Director and Grants Manager contributing substantially to pre-award and non-financial post-award grants management and to other research administration duties as required. The Program Associate is responsible for collaborating with faculty, trainees, staff and research administration to streamline the pre-award process in a department heavily dependent on NIH and private foundation funding. To accomplish this goal they will prepare the necessary application documents while strictly adhering to requirements for research grant proposals. They will submit completed grant proposals to Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) and sponsors in a timely and accurate fashion. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director for Research Administration.Job Responsibilities:Research and disseminate new funding opportunities for PIs Organize and plan workflow and internal timeline for each grant submissionInterface with Assistant Director and Grants Manager for all budgetary aspects of grant submissions.Collect, organize, and collate all required paperwork for submission as required for the grant. Follow up and resolve all issues.Serve as the primary point of contact for outside institutions and partners for subcontract materials.Prepare applications for final submission according to guidelines. Coordinate all paperwork and authorizations/signatures related to grant submissions components required by faculty, staff, and administrators. Ensure all internal and sponsor deadlines are met by working closely and collaboratively with Principal Investigators.Serve as a liaison with SPA and other administrative staff and PIs related to new submissions.Maintain grant database related to new submissions and award data.Collaborate with Grants Manager on non-financial aspects of grant progress reports.Maintain complete electronic files for all awarded grants.Maintain and develop departmental grants management and archiving system.Perform other job related duties as required.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree. Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple demands, at a high pace with attention to detail. Command of written and verbal English including ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise first draft. Knowledge of standard office practices, software and equipment.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in science with 1 to 2 Years of related experience.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Grossman School of Medicine provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $42,100.00 - $60,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
