As a Router, you will play a vital role inthe creation of cost-effective routes to meet customer demands.Primary Responsibilities:Creates efficient, cost-effective routes to meet customer demands usingMaintains proper balance between route distance and load size to accommodate driversí¢€™ capabilities and distribution center productivity standardMatches available vehicles with load and distance requirementsAllocates equipment and driver resources for scheduled and unscheduled deliveries a/o pick-ups and backhauls.Participates in holiday routing arrangements and driver schedulesEnsures compliance with federal, state (provincial), and local regulations relative to driver distances and load municates load requisites, routes, and schedules with warehouse production staff to facilitate the order selection process.Assist Trans Manager with equipment maintenance and Backhaul planning.Other Duties and Responsibilities: Conducted on an 'as needed basis 'Comply with H&S policies and proceduresAll employees have a right to participate in H&S matters, this may include assisting in Safety Committee Meetings, Facility Self Inspections, Accident Investigations, and Job Safety AnalysisRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent6+ months in a warehouse environmentAdministrative support performing math and computer data entry skillsPass a criminal background checkPreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent1+ years in a warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the food service industryCore-Mark is committed to providing accommodation to people with disabilities throughout the job application and interview process to the point of undue hardship.
