LANDS RESOURCE SPEC- ASSISTANT FIRE WARDEN at Idaho Division of Human Resources in Kamiah, Idaho, United States Job Description LANDS RESOURCE SPEC- ASSISTANT FIRE WARDEN Posting Begin Date: 2024/07/12 Posting End Date: 2024/12/31 Work Type: Full Time Location: Kamiah, ID, United States Minimum Salary: 23.03 Maximum Salary: 23.03 Pay Rate Type: Hourly Description The Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) has one (1) opening for a Lands Resource Specialist - Assistant Fire Warden position located at our Maggie Creek Supervisory Area Office in Kamiah, Idaho. This position is Grade K, additional information can be found at State Employee Compensation Division of Human Resources (idaho.gov) (Minimum filling rate is $23.03. The final salary rate is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. This position is open until filled. The hiring managers are continuously considering applications for this position. This job announcement will close if the position is filled. The Lands Resource Specialist position is used for training purposes for the Lands Resource Specialist, Senior. Through various types of on-the-job training, the employee will learn to carry out the duties of a Lands Resource Specialist, Senior including learning state laws and department policies and procedures. After successful completion of the Lands Resource Specialist training plan (this will take between six (6) months and five (5) years, depending on experience) the employee will advance to a Lands Resource Specialist, Senior. This advancement may include a pay increase. Example of Duties: Provide assistance with program(s) budgeting, purchasing, and reconciliation of the Fire, Hazard, and FPA programs for the Maggie Creek area. Provide leadership and supervision for permanent engine captain(s) and seasonal fire crew. Oversee seasonal housing facilities and inspections. Oversee facility maintenance and document the vehicle fleet and equipment inventories for the Maggie Creek FPD. Administration of Idaho Fire Hazard Reduction laws on the Maggie Creek FPD, performing slash inspections, preparing inspection reports, and recommending a course of action for refunding hold-back monies. Oversee Maggie Creek fire department training and grant funding. Coordinate, administer, instruct, and document wildland fire training for district permanent and seasonal employees as well as appropriate cooperators. Lead and coordinate the fire prevention program and Hazard Fuel Treatment for Maggie Creek.
