The Clinician is a primary therapist to children and families who have been experienced trauma(s)."¯$10,000 sign-on bonusCompetitive salaryHybrid schedule offering in-person and telehealth therapyExcellent medical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid sick leave and vacation401K base and employer matchFederal Loan Repayment ProgramFree ParkingInterested and/or curious: information email Monica Beltran, LCSW-C, MA, BC-DMT., MA.: : Minimum starting salary for FTE is $74,980 per year for Full-time Employee based on years of experience plus a $2,000 foreign language differential (per FTE) for documented foreign language proficiency (“Advanced Low” or higher) .Provides psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families including diagnosis and treatment through individual, group, or family treatment.If indicated, collaborates with the referring agency, the school system, community agencies, and the juvenile court system to assist in the development of a service plan for the child and family and to assure that the children are receiving the appropriate services.Participates in individual supervision, clinic meetings, administrative staff meetings, and in-service training.Maintains client activity at the projected level set by the administrative staff.Maintains a medical record for each child which includes a diagnostic interview, treatment plan, progress notes, periodic reviews, transfer and discharge summaries.May participate in the field instruction program and supervise social work trainees when interest and capacity is demonstrated; may participate in community activity related to the needs of traumatized children and their families; and/or committee projects.Bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards. Able to speak Spanish fluently with ease and confidence in a variety of topics related to work, home, leisure activities, as well as events of current, public or personal interest or individual relevance. Able to convey intended message with accuracy, clarity and precision without misrepresentation or confusion while being readily understood by native speakers.Must be licensed at the LCPC level by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.Must hold and maintain CPR certification.*Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by Kennedy Krieger Institute. *Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.EDUCATION:Must have a Master’s degree in professional counseling or related field with a minimum of 60 graduate semester credit hours or 90 graduate quarter credit hours ORA doctoral degree with a minimum of 90 graduate semester credit hours or 135 graduate credit hours.EXPERIENCE:Must have at a minimum of two years of licensed clinical experience related to providing services to children in the child welfare population with developmental and emotional disturbance.Kennedy Krieger Institute offers excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, tuition reimbursement, free parking and child care subsidies!
