Specialized training opportunities to include:In-house ethics trainings, potential exposure to Evidenced Based Practices: TF-CBT, DBT, PCITClinical supervision twice a month to support developmentGrowth and Development across service linesBenefit Eligibility after 30 Days of Full Time Employment (1st day of the 1st pay period after 30 days)As a School Based Clinician you are responsible for the coordination and delivery of clinical services in a school setting within the Norristown Schools. Demonstrates the ability to work in collaboration with district personnel to provide clinical services to identified populations. Demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and ability to understand, implement, as well as impact regulatory guidelines and professional standards. Provides prevention, case management and consultation services to individuals in schools. All services are family focused and are provided in the office, schools, home or other community settings. This is done in accordance with the Agency’s Vision, Mission and Values.Specific responsibilities include:Provide individual and group counseling to students based on referral from school district staff. Provide Training and information sessions for parents and other stakeholders on mental health awareness and risk factors Facilitates/co-facilitates groups within the schools as well as in the community as needed utilizing evidence based curriculum'sAccurately enters service documentation into the electronic health record and data into the required reporting systems within established time-frames. Completes all necessary reports within established time-frames.Assists with crisis intervention/prevention services.Develops strong working relationships with schools through respectful communication and accountability. Provides consultation and training to school staff on mental health awareness and risk factors. Make recommendations for initiatives around school based mental health and prevention strategies LPC, LCSW, Psychologist, Therapist, Clinical Case Manager, Family Based Therapist, FBEDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline..EXPERIENCE: Must have completed a praticum and LicensedHOURS: 8A-4PPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques - upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques.
