SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESConsumer ResponsibilitiesProvide supervision to assigned staff, including completion of evaluations in accordance with agency policies.AdministrationFacilities ManagementCommunity RelationDevelop activities in and outside of the houseEnsure consumer diet and nutrition in all aspects i.e., menu plans, weight records etc.Monitoring consumer's health through contact with physicians, dentists, and other treatment personnelEnsures Consumer's program plans are followedObtains and maintains AMAP/CPR/First Aid/SCIP-R certificationsProvide Direct Care Services as neededWorks in collaboration with educational programs to ensure continuity of treatment modalities.Serves as member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of high school diploma or GEDExperience working with people with developmental disabilities/traumatic brain injured preferred. A clean and valid NYS driver's license preferredWorking knowledge of OPWDD regulations.Familiarity with Justice Center requirementsAbility to handle emergencies in a professional manner. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYResponsible for hiring, training, evaluating and in conjunction with Director, terminating of staff for the houseResponsible for supervision of all staffAct as a resource to direct care staffWrites and conducts three-month performance review of new direct care staff and their formal written annual performance reviewConducts weekly supervision with full time direct care staffParticipates in the monthly staff meetingsMeets regular with the Clinical Team to provide ongoing monitoring of progress of consumer programs and consumer progressEnsures that all staff receives the mandated in-service trainingConducts orientation program for all new direct care staff
