A warm, busy family relocating to Manhasset, Long Island, seeks a live-in nanny to provide seamless support on a rotational week on/off schedule. There will be approximately 40hrs (or just over) of work required per week.The nanny will be responsible for the care of 2-year old twins and an older sibling, aged 5. Duties will include:Organizing and participating in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive and social developmentCollaborating with, working alongside, and constantly staying in touch with mom, who is actively involved and well-informed on a daily basisCommunicating with parents about the children's progress and any concerns that ariseKeeping track of the children's day-to-day activities, milestones and progress to inform parents giving them the information needed to adjust the schedule and activities as requiredStaying up-to-date with the latest research and practices in child development to provide the best possible care for the childrenMaintaining a clean and safe environment for the children to play and learn in, ensuring that their space remains at a high standard of cleanliness by following a daily list of cleaning tasks, as well as a weekly cleaning scheduleMaintaining tidy and organized spaces for the use of the girls and other family members, and doing so in a timely mannerMaintaining inventory and ensuring stock rotation of supplies and materials needed for childcare.Light housekeeping during the mornings when the twins are at nursery, to support the full-time housekeeperNo specific qualifications are required, however the following experience and characteristics would be appreciated:Childcare responsibilities that have included implementing gentle boundaries and baby-led weaningWorking as part of a domestic team in a private homeCooking for a familyA caring and nurturing personality, and a love for childrenCandidates will need to be flexible and happy to work as part of a team to support Mum and the family wherever needed. Ideally, candidates should be:Native Spanish-speakers (the family speak Spanish within the home)Competent speaking EnglishConfident driversConfident cooks, happy to follow recipes and learn new onesHard workingFit and active, able to manage a large home that includes a gym, pool, home office, multiple staircases and, of course, able to keep up with active and energetic young childrenFantastic team players, with a pitch-in mentality and a positive outlookComfortable working within a structured environment and open to direction, feedback and with working under the guidance of MumAdaptable and flexible, and able to step up during busier periods (holidays, when extended family are visiting, when the parents are away or the family is travelling, for example)Candidates MUST have previous experience with toddler aged twins and an older sibling.From $40/hr, DOE
