DescriptionThePortfolio Manager Iis responsible for proactive credit and risk administration of assigned portfolio accounts in our Commercial Banking Midcorp vertical.Primary responsibilities include:Underwriting credit opportunities to both new and existing clients, and ongoing portfolio management of sameIdeal candidate would have experience in the underwiring of transactions as a lead-left agentQuality analysis and risk identificationAbility to proactively recommend structures and implement action plansStrong technical capabilities to maintain accurate risk ratingsMaintenance of financial reporting and covenant compliance tracking databaseAbility to independently prepare and present new transactions for approval and existing portfolio transactions at periodic portfolio review meetingsVersed in legal documentation and ability to negotiate and close loansRegular client interaction to support and complement Relationship Manager both for new credit and ongoing servicing and problem resolutionThis is a senior position and as such individual must have demonstrated ability to manage complex credits and situations, willingness to support less experienced Portfolio Managers and Analysts, and partake in special projects as neededQualificationsRequired Skills/Experience:5+ years relevant Commercial Banking experience requiredExperience in the Banking industry preferred with specific experience working with Insurance Carriers & Insurance Service entitiesCompetency in financial analysis and credit structuringUnderstanding and applying credit policy, and credit monitoring and risk administration practicesExpected to have advanced level of credit experience, including legal documentation, and negotiating credit structures both internally and externallyExcellent verbal, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills requiredAbility to multi-task and function under pressureProficient in PC applications, including excel based projection modelingEducation, Certification, and/or Other Professional Credentials:Bachelor's Degree requiredHours & Work ScheduleHours per Week: 40Work Schedule: Monday - FridaySome job boards have started using jobseeker-reported data to estimate salary ranges for roles.
