RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of EHS programs, policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all employees, visitors, and contractors; protect the environment, and maintain compliance with all national and local regulations for manufacturing plant.Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and advise management of emerging environmental health, safety and welfare legislationDevelop, implement and conduct safety training programs and conduct training sessions at for all manufacturing employees and contractorsMaintain and communicate HS&E statistics and metricsSupport in risk assessments and external safety audit/inspections and bring forth recommendations that will improve working conditions and reduce risk factorsCoordinate the integration of environmental management and sustainability issues into policies, rules, services and operationsPromote best practice in energy use, waste reduction and sustainable development and consult management on all matters relating to health, safety and environment to ensure consistent applicationMaintain records of safety violations, OSHA, workers' compensation cases and administer the chemical safety program, including requirements for hazardous communication and global harmonization REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering/Science or a related fieldBilingual Spanish (preferred)5 years of experience or a combination of education, training and experienceExpertise, knowledge and understanding of OSHAMust be able to possess RCRA/DOT certification for handling of hazardous wasteKnowledge of State and Federal regulations related to Health, Safety and EnvironmentalPay Details: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per yearSearch managed by: Robert Park Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records subject to federal contractor requirements and/or security clearance requirements.
