The dietitian will provide safe, effective, and evidence-based nutrition care and services in accordance with guidelines from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, and other industry principles. The dietitian supports quality clinical outcome practice, and development and growth of individual and team nutrition therapy skills. Responsibilities include meeting objectives for department, facility, and organizational goals; interacting with professional staff, patients, and families; providing comprehensive nutrition therapy and guidance within licensed area of expertise and responsibility; providing quality learning experiences for nutrition students/interns as applicable; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice. Education:Bachelor’s Degree (required)Master’s Degree in nutrition/dietetics, public health, or education (preferred)Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, or eligible for registration and registered within 90 days of start (required)Licensure by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians, or licensed at next available application period (required)Experience: One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a critical care setting (preferred)One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in community and/or outpatient nutrition therapy (preferred if in an outpatient role)Certification:Specialist or advanced practice certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education, or the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (preferred)#LI-DNI
