Intern - Community Engagement

Whether you're in our U.S.-based offices supporting refugees, asylees or unaccompanied children ... implementing hygiene initiatives in Cambodia or rebuilding projects in Central America ... or even connecting remotely from your home on fundraising campaigns, grant reports, or critical communications - you have the opportunity to work towards a world where everyone has food, a voice and a safe place to call home.The Community Engagement Intern will support CWS in raising awareness about issues affecting migrants and refugees through social media advocacy, developing resources and training materials for caseworkers, and coordinating community outreach events. This is an excellent opportunity to use and develop skills in areas such as social media, event planning, public speaking, and nonprofit community engagement.Create social media content highlighting migrant/refugee stories and organization's services.Collaborate on social media campaigns to raise awareness and support.Develop/update comprehensive resources page for caseworkers.Design and deliver training sessions for caseworkers on utilizing resources.Plan and execute community engagement events.Assist with outreach efforts to promote organization's services and events.Passion for social justice issues and migrant/refugee rights.Proficient in social media platforms and content creation.Organized and detail-oriented.Internship Chain of CommandThe intern will report directly to the Community Engagement Specialist. Approval is required before executing tasks at the request of other departments/employees.
